Made Wright is a youth development organization committed to building a poverty-free future by nurturing young minds. We provide high-quality academic support, financial literacy and health initiatives for underserved youth in our community. By equipping youth with these vital tools, we pave the way for their success and contribute to poverty reduction in our community. Made Wright INC. was established in Springfield IL in 2022. It was founded in the memory of Joe Wright a community activist and community pillar of the eastside community. His morals and values were instilled in many residents and he wanted to see everyone succeed and do things the Wright way. The Wright way is doing the right thing to make the world a better place.

These core pillars guide how we educate, empower, and support underserved youth in our community. Through financial education, positive mentorship and wellness support, and meaningful community engagement, we help young people develop the knowledge, confidence, life skills, and connections they need to build brighter, poverty-free futures.

Youth Financial Literacy Services - The Wright Track
Big Title
The Jr. Bizz Program
The Jr. Bizz Program is designed to inspire and equip students with essential financial literacy skills through the lens of entrepreneurship. By partnering with local schools and organizations, we offer hands-on workshops that teach students how to create, manage, and grow their own businesses. Participants will learn core financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, investing, and managing credit, all while building practical entrepreneurial skills like business planning, marketing, and innovation.
College & Me
College and Me is a college preparation program that helps youth explore higher education options and prepare for life after high school. Students learn about college admissions, scholarships, financial aid, campus life, and the steps needed to create a college plan..
SKILLS
SKILLS, which stands for Strengthening Knowledge, Independence, Life, and Leadership Success, is a workforce and career pathway program that prepares youth for future employment and career success. Students build practical skills in career exploration, resume writing, interviewing, workplace communication, professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and job readiness.

Made Movement
MADE Movement is a youth wellness program designed to get youth up, active, and moving while promoting healthy physical and mental wellness habits. Through projects such as Bud to Flower, Garden Club, and Move Like You Mean It, youth participate in engaging activities that encourage healthier lifestyles and support their path toward a poverty-free future.
Bud to Flower, Garden Club & Move Like You Mean It

Bud to Flower is a multigenerational gardening program that brings youth and seniors together through hands-on gardening projects. Participants connect, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships while promoting wellness, healthy living, and community engagement.

Garden Club gives youth hands-on experience planting, growing, and harvesting fresh foods in a local community garden. Youth learn farm-to-plate concepts and turn items they grow into fun, healthy, and delicious recipes.

Move Like You Mean It is an interactive youth wellness program focused on both physical and mental well-being. Through movement, healthy eating education, and mental wellness activities, youth learn healthy habits that help prevent childhood obesity, build emotional wellness, and support healthier lifestyles.
Made Mentoring
Sisters Inspiring Sisters

SIS is a girl-led, peer mentoring program designed to create a positive sister circle where girls inspire, encourage, and learn from one another. Through mentorship and engaging activities, girls build confidence, character, leadership skills, and successful pathways for their futures.
Made Academics

MADE Academics supports youth in reaching their academic and educational goals. The program provides virtual tutoring and academic enrichment opportunities that strengthen learning, build confidence, and provide additional support for school-age youth during and after school.
Community Outreach
Cash Cares Project
Cash Cares Project provides clothing, shoes, and essential items to school-age youth to help remove barriers that can impact school attendance. Through partnerships with schools and community youth organizations, the project helps youth feel prepared, confident, and ready to attend school.
Youth Unity Project
Youth Unity Project empowers youth to become active and connected members of their community. Through cultural learning, community engagement, and unity-building activities, youth explore their identities, celebrate differences, break down racial and cultural barriers, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
Prom With A Purpose
Prom with a Purpose helps youth enjoy a safe, confident, and memorable prom experience by providing free prom attire and educational workshops. Youth learn about prom safety, budgeting, healthy decision-making, respect, and building positive relationships with their peers.
